to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors at our diagnostic laboratory. The ideal candidate will manage front-desk operations, assist with patient inquiries, handle billing, and ensure smooth coordination between patients and laboratory staff.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk Management:
Greet patients and visitors politely, answer phone calls, and respond to inquiries about lab services and reports.
Patient Registration:
Collect and input patient details into the lab system, generate lab request forms, and assign sample IDs.
Sample Coordination:
Label and track samples accurately; ensure they reach the correct testing department.
Report Handling:
Manage and file test results, notify patients when reports are ready, and print or email them as needed.
Billing & Payments:
Process payments for lab services, issue receipts, and maintain accurate financial records.
Communication & Coordination:
Act as a link between patients and lab technicians; maintain confidentiality of all patient data.
Record Keeping:
Keep detailed records of tests and reports and support inventory management for reception supplies.
Requirements
Prior experience in a
medical or laboratory reception role
preferred.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Basic computer literacy and familiarity with lab management or hospital systems.
Attention to detail, professionalism, and confidentiality.
