The L2 Technical Support Engineer handles network, desktop, and infrastructure issues, supports service requests, maintains system performance, and collaborates with other support tiers to ensure smooth IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide network and telecommunication support to internal and external users
  • Deliver IT assistance aligned with agreed service levels and resolve desktop, network, and infrastructure issues
  • Maintain and monitor the organization's global desktop environment
  • Handle incidents, service requests, problems, and change activities within defined timelines
  • Ensure timely communication with customers and keep them updated on progress
  • Stay updated on technology trends and support solution improvements through research
  • Manage and support the printing environment in a cost-efficient manner
  • Follow global IT policies, procedures, and operational standards
  • Perform root-cause analysis for recurring technical issues and recommend preventive solutions
  • Assist in maintaining servers, storage systems, and network equipment
  • Deploy, configure, and update hardware and software components
  • Monitor overall system performance and connectivity to identify potential issues proactively
  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, troubleshooting steps, and procedures
  • Collaborate with L1 and L3 teams for escalations and knowledge sharing
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding including device setup and access management
  • Ensure endpoint compliance through updates, security enforcement, and vulnerability reduction
Ideal Profile
  • Experience in L2 technical support, IT operations, or infrastructure support
  • Certifications such as ITIL, MCSE, CCNA or Office 365 administration preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities across network, desktop, and server environments
  • Ability to manage incidents and service requests effectively
  • Knowledge of system monitoring, hardware deployment, and endpoint security
  • Strong communication and customer support skills
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple IT support tiers
