Job Description

The Kitchen Technician Supervisor is responsible for supervising kitchen technical operations, maintenance, and repair of catering equipment to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient kitchen operations. The role requires hands-on technical expertise, team supervision, and strong experience in catering companies, commercial kitchens, or related food service environments

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage kitchen technicians and maintenance staff on a daily basis Ensure proper installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial kitchen equipment including: Cooking ranges, ovens, grills, fryers ,Refrigeration and cold rooms ,Dishwashers and food preparation equipment Conduct preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment breakdown Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly to avoid operational disruptions Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards (HACCP, food safety, local regulations) Coordinate with catering operations, chefs, and management for technical support Maintain records of maintenance activities, service reports, and spare parts inventory Train kitchen technicians on equipment handling, safety procedures, and best practices Liaise with external vendors and service providers when required Monitor and control maintenance costs and spare parts usage Ensure emergency breakdowns are handled efficiently and promptly

Required Qualifications

Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Refrigeration, or related field

Strong technical knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment

Experience

Minimum 5-6 years of total experience in kitchen equipment maintenance Experience must be within a catering company, hotel, restaurant, or large commercial kitchen Prior supervisory or team-leading experience is preferred
