Job Summary:

The Kitchen & Laundry Maintenance Service Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of all commercial kitchen and laundry equipment. The role ensures that all systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with local regulations and manufacturer guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect, diagnose, and repair faults in kitchen equipment (e.g., ovens, stoves, fryers, dishwashers) and laundry machines (e.g., washers, dryers, ironers). Perform routine preventive maintenance on all kitchen and laundry appliances. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns. Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for spare parts and specialized repairs. Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work performed. Monitor the performance of equipment and suggest upgrades or replacements when necessary. Provide technical support and training to kitchen and housekeeping staff regarding proper use and basic troubleshooting. Follow the company's policies and procedures, including safety protocols and environmental standards. Strategic Planning, Effective Management of PPM, Energy conservation, contract Manpower & Budget, HSE, follow local authorities' Statutory guidelines and conduct routine audits to ensure quality standards of work carried out and achievements of SLA's & KPI's Maintenance of Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements and demonstrate visible leadership to enhance conformance to IMS requirements. Ensure that all non-conformities are evaluated for root causes and appropriate corrective/preventive actions are taken

Qualifications:

Diploma, Degree or ITI certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Refrigeration Engineering (or equivalent). Proven experience (3-5 years preferred) in maintaining commercial kitchen and laundry equipment. Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, gas, and HVAC systems related to appliances. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics. Familiarity with brands like Electrolux, Hobart, Rational, Miele, Speed Queen, etc. is a plus. Good problem-solving and time management skills. Basic computer literacy for reporting and documentation. Physically fit and able to work in hot, humid, or noisy environments.
