Assist in preparing ingredients (mise en place), cooking meals, and plating dishes as directed.
Kitchen Operations:
Stocking pantry/stations, receiving and storing food, monitoring temperatures, and ensuring equipment is clean and working.
Cleaning & Sanitation:
Washing dishes, cleaning equipment, wiping counters, and maintaining overall kitchen hygiene to required standards (HACCP, CDC).
Health & Safety:
Adhering to food safety, sanitation, and proper handling procedures; reporting hazards.
Teamwork:
Collaborating with other kitchen staff, covering for the Head Cook if needed, and supporting special functions.
Essential Skills & Attributes
Ability to work in a fast-paced, loud environment.
Strong attention to detail and organization.
Good physical stamina (lifting, standing).
Motivation to learn and follow instructions.
Knowledge of hygiene and food safety principles.
