Help with basic food prep tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, and preparing ingredients as directed by chefs.
Cleaning & Sanitization:
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring all surfaces, utensils, and equipment are sanitized and ready for use. Clean dishes, pots, pans, and utensils, and ensure they are properly stored.
Stock Organization:
Assist with organizing and storing food items in the kitchen, ensuring that all products are properly labeled, rotated, and stored according to food safety regulations.
Waste Disposal:
Ensure proper waste management by disposing of trash and compost in the designated areas and maintaining a clean environment.
Equipment Maintenance:
Assist in cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, refrigerators, and dishwashers, and report any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
Support Chefs & Cooks:
Provide general assistance to chefs and cooks by delivering ingredients, utensils, or supplies during food preparation and service.
Food Presentation Support:
Assist with plating food as needed, ensuring the presentation is clean and consistent with the restaurant's standards.
Inventory Support:
Help with receiving and storing deliveries, keeping track of kitchen supplies, and notifying the kitchen manager when items need restocking.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling and storage of food items, and maintaining a hygienic work environment.
