JOB SUMMARY
Kitchen hand assists cooks or chefs within a working kitchen. They prepare the basic foodstuffs and clean utensils, dishes and benches that are used in the kitchen. They store food dry ingredients in the store, dispose rubbish, maintain the cleaning of all
the equipment's and each area of the kitchen.
Wash and clean utensils and dishes.
To make sure all items are stored properly.
Clean food preparation equipment's, floor and other kitchen tools or areas.
Clean up spillages when they occur.
Disposable of waste materials in the designated area.
Ensure proper use of chemical/cleaning products and to store safely.
Follow all Hygiene, Health and Safety regulations within the kitchen.
Assist the chef in the basic mise-end-place for the preparation.
Always maintain a positive and motivated work ethic in the kitchen.
Handle store items and to distribute as per the request.
Follow instructions from the senior management.
Follow the cleaning schedule as directed by the organization.
Delivery of the Food Trolleys to the respective wards.
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the Staff Canteen.
To follow all Municipality law.
