Aldar Education is currently seeking for an outstanding Kindergarten Teacher for Al Budoor KG Charter School in Abu Dhabi commencing next academic year 2023-2024. The school provides high quality education and follows the American Common Core Curriculum (Massachusetts). DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment with integration of various available resources and modes of instruction.
  • Set appropriate high expectations with clear objectives and targets, building on prior attainment for students and implement tasks which challenge students and ensure high levels of interest.
  • Provide feedback to students about their progress and areas of possible improvement.
  • Ensure that the National UAE culture, heritage and values are an integral part of the teaching and interaction with students.
  • Manage provision for students who require differentiated learning or who have other particular individual needs and liaise with the appropriate experts in the area for required support and advice.
  • Assist in the implementation of and supervise extra-curricular activities, and student excursions as requested.
  • Maintain a positive and safe classroom environment; and promote positive student attitudes, aptitude and behavior.
  • Assess, update and maintain record of student progress and achievement and keep clear and accurate records of student\xe2\x80\x99s achievements.
  • Facilitate and supervise implementation of assessments (internal and external) in accordance with Al Budoor Charter School and ADEK/ ALDAR policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with other teachers, support staff and grade level leaders to work collaboratively and follow up accordingly.
  • Attend and participate in school-based, external meetings and professional development.
  • Supervise other classes in absence of peers as directed by School Leadership.
  • Take responsibility for own professional development and duties in relation to school policies and practices. Participate in Performance Management processes and evaluate own teaching critically and regularly.
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the School Leadership

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor\'s in Education (Early Years or Child Development Studies) or with PGCE
  • Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a KG Teacher.
  • With at least minimum of 6.5 IELTS band score
  • A good knowledge of Early Childhood pedagogy
  • Experience of an American Curriculum would be advantageous
  • Previous experience working with students whom English is not their first language
  • Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child
  • A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children
  • Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities
  • Respect for all members of a school community, irrespective of position, gender, age and ethnic background
  • A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life
  • A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check
