Kindergarten (KG) Teacher - American Curriculum
Position Overview:
We are looking for a nurturing, creative, and energetic Kindergarten Teacher to lay the foundational educational and social-emotional building blocks for our youngest learners. The successful candidate will implement a developmentally appropriate, play-based American curriculum that fosters curiosity, a love for learning, and holistic growth in a safe and joyful classroom community.
Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum & Instruction:
• Implement a balanced, thematic curriculum that integrates early literacy (phonemic awareness, phonics), numeracy, science exploration, and social studies.
• Plan and facilitate purposeful play-based learning centers that promote social skills, fine and gross motor development, and cognitive growth.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and developmental levels.
• Assess student development through observation, portfolios, and age-appropriate tools, providing regular progress reports.
• Student Development & Classroom Environment:
• Create a warm, welcoming, print-rich, and organized classroom environment that is conducive to exploration and learning.
• Model and explicitly teach positive behavior, social skills, and emotional regulation.
• Attend to the personal care needs of KG students (as appropriate) while promoting independence and self-help skills.
• Collaboration & Communication:
• Work closely with KG teaching assistants, specials teachers, and the Student Support Team to ensure each child's needs are met.
• Maintain strong, daily partnerships with parents through clear communication, newsletters, digital platforms, and conferences.
• Actively participate in early years team meetings and professional development focused on early childhood education.

Requirements:

• Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. A specialized teaching certification in Early Childhood is highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a KG or Early Years setting following an American or international curriculum. Must have a deep understanding of child development milestones.

• Exceptional patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with young students, parents, and colleagues.
• Expertise in creating interactive, hands-on learning experiences.
• Commitment to fostering a inclusive, safe, and stimulating early learning environment.
