Job Summary The Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children (typically ages 4-6). The teacher will develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, foster social-emotional growth, and ensure a safe and engaging classroom atmosphere. The ideal candidate should be passionate about early childhood education, patient, creative, and skilled in classroom management. Key Responsibilities 1. Classroom Instruction & Curriculum Development

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons in literacy, numeracy, science, social studies, and creative arts.
• Use play-based and hands-on learning strategies to engage students.
• Incorporate storytelling, songs, games, and interactive activities to enhance learning.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.

2. Social-Emotional Development

• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Teach conflict resolution, sharing, and cooperation skills.
• Encourage independence, self-expression, and confidence in students.

3. Classroom Management & Safety

• Maintain a well-organized, clean, and safe classroom.
• Establish and enforce classroom rules and routines.
• Supervise children during indoor/outdoor activities, meals, and nap times.

4. Assessment & Progress Tracking

• Observe and assess students' academic and social development.
• Maintain records of student progress and provide feedback to parents.
• Prepare report cards and conduct parent-teacher conferences.

5. Communication & Collaboration

• Build strong relationships with parents through regular updates, meetings, and events.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, specialists (e.g., art, music, PE), and school staff.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities.

6. Professional Development

• Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
• Attend workshops, training sessions, and educational conferences as required.
