Position Summary
The Junior Waiter/Waitress is a key support role in our service team, responsible for ensuring guests have an excellent and seamless dining experience. This entry-level position is perfect for someone eager to learn the fundamentals of hospitality, food service, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. You will assist senior serving staff with all aspects of service, from preparing tables to delivering food and maintaining cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service:

• Greet guests with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
• Provide water, bread, and other initial amenities promptly.
• Assist waitstaff in taking food and drink orders accurately using a POS system.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and organized manner.
• Check in with guests to ensure their satisfaction and address any immediate needs.
• Clear tables efficiently between courses and after guests depart.

• Assist in setting up and breaking down the dining room before and after service.
• Ensure tables are properly set with clean linens, polished cutlery, glassware, and condiments.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the service stations, restocking supplies as needed.
• Polish glassware and silverware.
• Assist the bar team with basic tasks, such as fetching ice or garnishes.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication.

• Develop a strong knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, allergens, and daily specials.
• Learn and adhere to all restaurant policies, procedures, and health and safety standards.
• Process payment transactions accurately.
• Handle guest inquiries and minor complaints with patience, escalating issues to a senior staff member or manager when necessary.

• No prior professional experience required; full training will be provided.
• A strong desire to learn and build a career in hospitality is highly valued.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., retail, cafe) is a plus.
