Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented

System Admin Intern

to join our IT team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in maintaining and optimizing computer systems, networks, and servers in a real-world business environment. You'll be supporting daily IT operations and assisting with a variety of tasks related to system administration, all while developing technical skills and industry knowledge. Experience Level:

6 to 12 months (academic projects or basic hands-on experience preferred)

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems. Support routine system updates, patches, and upgrades under supervision. Monitor system performance and assist in basic troubleshooting tasks. Help in managing and troubleshooting network devices like routers, switches, and firewalls. Support the enforcement of network security protocols and user access controls. Provide first-level technical support to users for common hardware and software issues. Assist in setting up user accounts, email, and access permissions. Participate in data backup routines and disaster recovery drills. Document system configurations and technical processes. Help monitor system logs for security-related activities. Contribute to research and testing of new technology tools and solutions.

Requirements and Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in

Information Technology, Computer Science

, or a related field. Basic understanding of computer systems, networking, and IT infrastructure. Familiarity with

Windows

and

Linux

operating systems. Exposure to RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) tools is a plus. Good analytical and troubleshooting skills. Strong willingness to learn and grow in a professional IT environment. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Relevant certifications (e.g.,

CompTIA A+

,

Network+

, or

Microsoft Certified Fundamentals

) are a plus but not required.
