In this role, you will support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in maintaining high culinary standards and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented chef looking to grow into a leadership position.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Sous Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff.
Prepare and cook Mediterranean dishes to high standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen team members.
Monitor food preparation, portion sizes, and presentation to ensure alignment with recipes and standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Help manage inventory, stock rotation, and waste reduction efforts.
Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal specials.
Step in to lead sections of the kitchen in the absence of the Sous Chef.
Requirements:
2-4 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge and genuine interest in Mediterranean cuisine.
Culinary diploma or relevant certification preferred.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
