to join our engineering consultancy team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in site supervision, project execution, and preparation/review of Bills of Quantities (BOQ). The role requires strong technical knowledge of construction methodologies, site management, and the ability to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications and authority requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Supervision & Execution
Supervise daily site activities to ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to project schedules and milestones.
Conduct site inspections, record observations, and report deviations to the Project Manager.
2. BOQ Preparation & Verification
Prepare, review, and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for civil works.
Ensure quantities are accurately measured and aligned with project requirements.
Assist in cost estimation, tender documentation, and variation claims.
3. Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure that construction works comply with engineering standards, authority regulations, and health & safety requirements.
Conduct quality checks and inspections on materials and workmanship.
Maintain accurate site records and inspection reports.
4. Coordination & Documentation
Liaise with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve technical and site-related issues.
Support in preparing site reports, progress updates, and documentation required by management and clients.
Coordinate with procurement teams to verify material requirements and approvals.
5. Technical Support & Problem Solving
Provide technical input during project execution, addressing design discrepancies and site challenges.
Support in reviewing shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum
2 years of experience
as a Site Civil Engineer in the UAE, with a Contractor.
Proven experience with BOQ preparation, verification, and cost estimation is a must.
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project management, and site supervision.
Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of Primavera or project management tools is an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, and other authority requirements.
