We are a growing scent-marketing company in need of a business development/sales account manager to serve our sales channels in both B2C and B2B business lines. What does the role entail?
  • Serving customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.
  • Sales support functions - including data entry into the CRM, follow-ups, regulating the content of the CRM, etc.
  • Servicing existing accounts, obtaining orders and establishing new accounts by the prospect, planning and organizing a method/process to prospect potential sales outlets/groups and other trade factors.
  • Creating content of sales presentations/material by studying the type of sales outlet(s)/business line.
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of customers.
  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Keeps leadership informed by submitting activity and process/results reports - to be catered by the salesperson.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Recommends changes in products, services, and policies by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on industry, region and customer sales.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in sales/marketing functions.
  • Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including word, excel, PowerPoint and outlook.
  • Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
