Job Summary:
We are looking for a Junior Pastry Chef - Cake Decorator to join our bakery team. This role is ideal for someone with basic cake decorating skills who is eager to learn, improve techniques, and grow within a professional kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in decorating cakes using buttercream, basic fondant, and piping techniques
Prepare cakes for decoration (leveling, filling, crumb coating, frosting)
Follow provided designs, recipes, and size specifications
Support senior pastry chefs in daily production
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations and tools
Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Assist with special orders and busy production days
Requirements:
Basic experience or training in pastry or cake decoration
Knowledge of buttercream handling and simple piping techniques
Willingness to learn and take direction
Attention to detail and consistency
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen
Team player with a positive attitude
