Job Description
Junior Oracle DBA
Roles and responsibilities:
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle databases Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and perform tuning to optimize system resources Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning and execution Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration between databases and applications Assist in implementing database security best practices, including user roles, privileges, and auditing Participate in routine database maintenance tasks such as upgrades, patching, and indexing Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) certification Strong understanding of relational database concepts, SQL, and PL/SQL Knowledge of Oracle RAC, Grid, ASM, RMAN and Dataguard Knowledge of database backup and recovery procedures Basic experience with database monitoring tools and performance tuning Basic knowledge of Linux OS Basic knowledge of Networking, Storage and Security fundamentals Knowledge of other relational SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MS SQL server would be a plus Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Good communication and teamwork abilities
