Job Summary:

The

Junior Instrumentation & Control Technician

is responsible for assisting in the

installation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting

of industrial instrumentation and control systems. This role provides hands-on experience in working with

PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and various field instruments

in industrial automation settings. The ideal candidate should have a

basic understanding of control systems, industrial sensors, and process automation

and should be eager to develop their technical skills further.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the

installation, calibration, and maintenance

of sensors, actuators, transmitters, and controllers. Support the

troubleshooting and repair

of control systems, including

PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and field instrumentation.

Conduct

routine maintenance and inspections

to ensure the reliability of process control systems. Read and interpret

P&ID diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical manuals.

Assist in preparing

technical reports, maintenance logs, and documentation

for control systems. Participate in

software and hardware testing

for automation systems. Work alongside senior technicians to gain experience in

industrial process automation and control loop tuning.

Follow

safety procedures, industry standards, and company policies

during all activities.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

Basic to intermediate knowledge of

instrumentation, automation, and control systems

. Familiarity with

PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), SCADA, DCS, and HMI systems

. Understanding of

sensors, actuators, control valves, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).

Ability to use

diagnostic and calibration tools

(multimeters, loop calibrators, oscilloscopes, HART communicators). Strong

troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

in control system applications. Ability to work with

software tools for system configuration and diagnostics

. Knowledge of

basic electrical wiring and instrumentation diagrams

.

Educational Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree

in

Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

Key Focus Areas:

Process Control & Instrumentation:

Assisting in setting up and maintaining process control instrumentation.

PLC & SCADA Systems:

Learning and supporting configuration, programming, and troubleshooting.

Safety & Emergency Shutdown Systems:

Assisting in maintenance and testing of ESD and alarm systems.

Industrial Automation & Networking:

Gaining experience with industrial communication protocols and automation architecture.

Regulatory Compliance & Standards:

Understanding industry standards (ISA, IEC, ANSI) and following documentation guidelines.

Experience:

1-2 years of experience

in instrumentation and control systems (internships or apprenticeships can be considered). Exposure to

industrial automation and process control

is a plus.

Tools and Equipment:

Experience with

PLC programming tools

(Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley Studio 5000). Familiarity with

calibration equipment

(HART communicators, pressure calibrators). Basic knowledge of

electrical testing tools

(multimeters, oscilloscopes). Exposure to

CAD software for system design

is an advantage.

to collaborate with engineers and senior technicians. Willingness to work in

industrial environments

oil & gas, manufacturing, power plants, and automation facilities

Ability to travel

to project sites when required.

Pay: AED1,400.00 - AED1,500.00 per month
