Job Summary

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to perform a variety of engineering duties by applying basic engineering techniques and analyses within the electrical discipline.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Be Doing

• Carry out designs of Electrical Power distribution systems, under the guidance of senior engineer.
• Prepare Electrical HV and LV Designs, Lighting Designs for Indoor, Outdoor applications using Dialux, and AGI32 software with support from the Senior Engineer.
• Carry out electrical load analysis and short circuit calculations, and cable derating calculations using Cymcap / similar software.
• Perform load demand calculations for large private developments and/ or large Government projects.
• Design Fire alarm and Life safety systems.
• Support, with suitable guidance from Senior engineers, the preparation of detailed technical, commercial and Life Cycle Cost Analysis of various technical alternatives.
• Support in preparing the presentations for Clients.

What Required Skills You\xe2\x80\x99ll Bring

• Degree in Electrical engineering from a reputable university.
• UAE Nationals Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Minimum Internship experience in electrical lighting design of infrastructure projects.
• Shall be conversant with the IEC, IEEE as well as DEWA regulations for the electrical designs.
• Familiar with Electricity Authority regulations such as DEWA, ADDC/ ADWEA and other authorities within gulf region.
• Minimum basic knowledge in the lighting designs for indoor as well as outdoor applications, such as road lighting, tunnel lighting etc.
• Shall have basic understanding of power cable sizing calculations using software such as Amtech.
• Basic understanding of the ELV Systems such as CCTV, Access Control, Parking Management, BMS, SCADA.

What Desired Skills You\xe2\x80\x99ll Bring

• Have experience of liaising with DEWA for obtaining Load NOCs, LV Design Approvals, HV Design Approvals, 11 KV Substations, etc. are advantageous.
• Knowledge/experience using Dialux, and AGI32 software are preferred.
• Aware about the requirements for the electrical system design for the Pump stations preferred.
