The Junior Education Consultant supports students and parents in choosing suitable study options (schools, colleges, universities, and training programs). This role combines counselling with active outreach, including cold calling, lead follow-up, and maintaining accurate records in the CRM.
You will work closely with the senior team to help achieve enrolment goals, deliver excellent customer service, and ensure all leads are tracked and nurtured properly.
Key Responsibilities
1. Student Counselling & Support
Conduct initial counselling sessions to understand students' academic background, budget, and study goals.
Provide basic information on courses, universities/colleges, locations, fees, and application steps.
Schedule follow-up meetings with senior consultants for complex cases or final decisions.
2. Lead Generation & Cold Calling
Make daily outbound calls to new leads from events, social media, referrals, and purchased databases.
Introduce the company's services, qualify leads, and book appointments for detailed counselling.
Follow up with "warm" leads who have enquired via website, WhatsApp, email, or walk-ins.
Maintain a professional and positive tone on calls to build trust and interest.
3. CRM Operations & Data Management
Enter and update all lead information, call outcomes, and follow-up actions in the CRM system.
Create and manage tasks, reminders, and follow-up schedules to ensure no lead is missed.
Tag and segment leads (e.g., by country interest, intake, program level) for targeted campaigns.
Generate basic reports from the CRM (e.g., daily calls, conversions, active pipeline) for management.
4. Marketing & Events Support
Support education fairs, webinars, school visits, and info sessions (registration, follow-up, data entry).
Share marketing materials and campaign offers with prospective students via email / WhatsApp.
5. Customer Service & Relationship Management
Handle incoming calls, emails, and WhatsApp queries and route them to the right consultant when needed.
Maintain polite, clear, and timely communication with students and parents.
Build long-term relationships to encourage referrals and repeat business.
Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in any field (Education, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred).
0-2 years of experience in sales, counselling, customer service, or education consultancy (fresh graduates welcome).
Skills & Competencies
Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage).
Experience with cold calling or willingness to learn and perform outbound calls.
Basic knowledge of CRM systems (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce, or similar) or willingness to learn quickly.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail, especially in data entry.
Sales-minded, target-driven, and persistent in following up with leads.
Customer-oriented attitude with patience and empathy when dealing with students and parents.
Proficient with MS Office / Google Workspace (Word, Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides).
