Job Description

We are looking for an experienced

Junior Mechanical Draftsman

with strong AutoCAD skills and hands-on experience in the interior fit-out industry. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and shop drawings for Mechanical (HVAC, Plumbing & Firefighting) systems to support ongoing fit-out projects. The ideal candidate should have excellent attention to detail, a good understanding of MEP coordination within interior spaces, and the ability to work efficiently under time constraints.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and develop

HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting

system drawings for interior fit-out projects. Create

shop drawings, coordination drawings, and detailed fabrication drawings

based on IFC/Design drawings and project specifications. Assist in preparing

as-built drawings

upon project completion. Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, and electrical layouts to prevent clashes and ensure seamless integration. Update and revise drawings based on

site instructions, RFI responses, design changes, and mark-ups

from engineers or clients. Maintain

drawing logs, version control

, and ensure documentation accuracy. Support the project team in resolving drawing-related issues during project execution. Attend site visits (as required) to verify dimensions and capture as-built conditions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or Drafting.

2-3 years of proven drafting experience

in MEP or interior fit-out contracting. Strong proficiency in

AutoCAD

(mandatory). Working knowledge of

Revit MEP

is an added advantage. Good understanding of

HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems

within interior layouts. Ability to read and interpret

MEP & architectural drawings

. Strong accuracy, detailing ability, and time management skills. Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.

Preferred Attributes

Experience working on

commercial offices, retail spaces, hospitality, or corporate fit-out projects

. Familiarity with

local authority regulations and approval standards
