to support the preparation of technical drawings for interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of drafting experience, strong AutoCAD proficiency, and a solid understanding of electrical layouts and coordination within interior environments such as commercial offices, retail spaces, and hospitality projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and develop
electrical drawings
including lighting layouts, small power layouts, cable routing, containment layouts, and single-line diagrams.
Create
shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings
based on IFC/design drawings and project specifications.
Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, and other engineering drawings to ensure
clash-free layout planning
.
Update drawings based on
site conditions, engineer mark-ups, design changes, and client feedback
.
Assist with
material take-offs
and preparation of drawing submittal packages.
Ensure
drawing accuracy
, version control, and systematic documentation.
Conduct
site surveys
when required to verify dimensions and existing conditions.
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma / ITI in Electrical Drafting, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
2-3 years of experience
as an Electrical Draftsman in
interior fit-out / MEP contracting
.
Strong proficiency in
AutoCAD
(mandatory).
Knowledge of
Revit MEP
is an advantage.
Good understanding of
electrical layouts, lighting, power distribution, and low-current systems
.
Ability to interpret
architectural and MEP drawings
.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Good communication skills and willingness to coordinate across teams.
Preferred Experience
Experience in commercial fit-out projects (offices, retail, hospitality).
Familiarity with
local authority standards and approval requirements
