Reliance HR Consultancy is seeking an experienced Junior Cost Accountant to join our client\'s team. The Junior Cost Accountant will be responsible for performing day-to-day cost accounting activities such as cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly closing. The position will report to the Senior Cost Accountant and will work closely with other departments to ensure accuracy and timely completion of tasks.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and review cost data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Prepare and analyze cost reports for management review.
Track and monitor costs in order to identify areas of cost savings.
Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures.
Monitor and analyze cost trends and recommend strategies for cost reduction.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
Generate monthly closing reports.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
2+ years of experience in a cost accounting role.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
