Job Description

Job Details What you will do The Junior Contracts Specialist (Jr. CS) will be reporting to the Director of Commercial Operations. You will be base in Dubai, UAE. You will be supporting Sales/Estimation in reviewing and suggesting amendments to the Contract terms and conditions & other legally binding document(s) during Sales (Pre-award) stage. How you will do it
  • Review Contracts/POs/Terms & Conditions’ documents - based on priorities.
  • Identify risks, pitfalls and mitigation measures via transfer or annulment of risk by use of appropriate amendments to Contract language.
  • Liaise with Sales/Estimation and Ops to better understand the risk profile, establish assumptions made etc. and also to appraise them of the exacting requirements under the Contract to allow for costs and/or risk management.
  • Identify Restrictive Trade Practices under the Contract; Support senior members in reporting it via formal procedures and negotiate such non-permissible practices out of the Contract.
  • Facilitate Legal review as applicable.
  • Final Contract Review against original document and assessment residual risks.
  • Facilitate internal approvals and authorized signature as per company policies.
  • Provide suggestions for improving / streamlining the process.
What we look for
  • Recognized Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying / Contract Management / Engineering / Law.
  • Good understating of FIDIC and Customized Contracts in the Middle East.
  • Min 1-2 years’ experience in contract review / drafting / administration and or related Quantity Surveying experience in the Middle East.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and basic negotiation capabilities
  • Efficient planning & organizing skills
  • Time leadership skills, in particular ability to adapt to multiple tasks environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Point)
