The Junior Barista is responsible for Assisting the Barista's Team in creating and serving high-quality beverages to the guests, while also learning and developing skills in Food Safety and stock inventory control.

Assist the barista with stock inventory control by accurately counting and recording all items to ensure the sufficient supply of products and prevent shortages. Understand and follow FSSC (Food Safety System Certification) requirements through check-lists and manual guide to ensure compliance and safe handling of products. Collaborate with Barista Team in placing orders in order to control stock in hand, reduce wastage and maximise sales. Assist the barista in keeping a detailed record of all wastage and report any discrepancies to management to promote a profitable operation. Learn the proper set up and preparation of the bar area by following established guidelines for an efficient and smooth operation. Assist with preparing and serving drinks according to company standards and guidelines to enhance guest satisfaction. Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications

About you

The successful candidate will have the following:

Basic Literacy and Numeracy skills, English communication skills. No prior job-related work experience.

Job skills:

Operational expertise: Fundamental awareness in restaurant and hospitality operations, including culinary expertise.

Service Excellence and guest management
Food Safety & Hygiene Standards: Building understanding in Food Safety Hygiene regulations & protocols in the restaurant and kitchen operations. Adaptability: Fundamental awareness in adjusting behavior, attitude, and approach to suit different contexts, demands, and goals. Flexible, resilient, and open-minded, as well as being able to make changes quickly and effectively without disrupting the operations. Communication: Expert in communicating effectively with guests and employees and build relationship with internal and external stakeholders. Able to provide clear instructions, provide updates and information and resolve any conflicts that may arise. Teamwork: Building understanding in working with various team seamlessly to provide the highest possible service to guests. Exceptional Customer Service skills over the phone and in person
