Junior / Assistant Accountant

About the Role:
We are a dynamic company in the thriving Food & Beverage industry, seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior/Assistant Accountant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently graduated professional with 1-2 years of experience to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in supporting our financial operations, with a key focus on the successful deployment and use of our new accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Perform accurate and efficient data entry of financial transactions.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Help with the preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Reconcile bank statements and other key accounts.
• Assist in the deployment and implementation of Odoo accounting software, providing support and training to other team members.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Must be a graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of proven experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
• Background in the Food & Beverage or Hospitality industry is highly preferred.
• Experience with accounting software deployment is a significant advantage; experience with Odoo is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional accuracy and proficiency in data entry.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team spirit.
• Candidates must be currently located in Dubai and available to interview in person.
