Junior Accountant

The Deep Seafood Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to launch their accounting career, gain hands-on experience, and grow with a reputable company in the seafood industry.
Job Overview:
As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for providing support to the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Handle basic bookkeeping and data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
• Manage and reconcile petty cash transactions.
• Support the senior accounting staff with audits and other financial reviews.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets, track data, and generate reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Higher qualifications are a plus.
• Experience: Freshers are welcome to apply. This role is designed for candidates at the start of their accounting career.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) is essential. Familiarity with accounting software is an advantage.
