The Role
As a Junior Accountant, you'll support the Finance Team in managing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, bank and general ledger reconciliations, and expense tracking. You'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial regulations. This role also involves contributing to the implementation of IFS and helping the team meet group-set deadlines.
This is a fixed term role for 6 month with possible extension upon review.
Principle Accountabilities
Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks and data entry
Perform general ledger (GL) reconciliations
Handle bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
Manage purchase invoice processing, PO Reconciliations, Stock checks
Process employee expense claims with accuracy and timeliness
Maintain and archive financial documents for audit and compliance purposes
Support the team in preparing reports and maintaining financial records
Work closely with senior accountants on various projects
Use accounting software and Excel to update records and generate reports
Assists in travel ticket bookings
Other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the seniors
Qualifications and Experience
A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
Knowledge of ERP System preferably Sage or Quick Books, not mandatory
Up to 2 years of accounting or finance experience
Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
Familiarity with Excel and basic accounting software
Good communication and time management skills
