Junior Accountant
Job Description
Sarmad Alaskari FZCO is a company that specializes in wholesale of vehicles, primarily meant for export. We have a presence in Jebel Ali, and we are in the process of opening a showroom in the DUCAMZ area of Ras Al Khor, Dubai.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support daily bookkeeping/accounting operations, assist with financial reporting, and ensure accurate record-keeping in compliance with company policies and local and international accounting standards. This role is suitable for candidates with early accounting experience who are looking to grow their career.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with daily accounting entries and bookkeeping Prepare and record invoices, payments, and receipts Reconcile bank statements and accounts Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Support month-end and year-end closing processes Assist in preparing financial reports and schedules Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies Provide support during audits as required
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2-5 years of accounting experience (fresh graduates still encouraged to apply, but the bar will be set higher) Basic knowledge of accounting principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with accounting software is an advantage Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Fluent in Arabic, with good communication skills in English Prior accounting work experience within the automotive industry will be considered a strong advantage
