We are currently looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with Zoho Books or other Zoho accounting platforms, with a background in the tourism industry, and be available to join immediately. The role involves assisting in daily financial operations, maintaining accurate accounting records, and supporting month-end processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage daily accounting tasks including accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
2. Maintain and update financial records using Zoho Books.
3. Generate and review invoices, payment receipts, and expense reports.
4. Assist in month-end and year-end financial closings.
5. Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws and prepare necessary reports.
6. Coordinate with internal teams for financial documentation and approvals.
7. Support audit and financial reporting processes.
8. Handle petty cash and employee reimbursements.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. 1-2 years of accounting experience (UAE and tourism industry experience preferred).
3. Proficient in Zoho Books or Zoho Finance Suite.
4. Good knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and basic financial reporting.
5. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
6. Proficient in MS Excel and general accounting principles.
7. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
8. Must be based in the UAE and available to join immediately.
Preferred:
1. Prior experience in a similar role within Dubai's tourism or hospitality sector.
2. Familiarity with other cloud-based accounting tools is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
