Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our Finance Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, tax compliance, and audit support, preferably within the hospitality or F&B industry. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records across multiple restaurant branches and supporting the finance team in ensuring regulatory and internal compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping & Accounting

Record daily sales, expenses, and bank transactions for all restaurant outlets. Maintain accurate general ledger entries, journal vouchers, and reconciliations. Manage accounts payable and receivable; ensure timely recording and reconciliation. Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities. Prepare intercompany reconciliations and adjustments.

Tax Compliance

Prepare and file VAT returns in compliance with UAE tax regulations. Maintain proper documentation for tax audits and ensure timely responses to FTA requests. Keep updated with changes in local tax laws and ensure company compliance.

Audit Support

Assist with internal and external audit requirements by preparing audit schedules and providing necessary documentation. Ensure proper filing and retention of financial records as per audit and statutory requirements. Support the Senior Accountant in implementing audit recommendations.

Reporting

Prepare routine financial reports and assist in the preparation of management reports. Monitor petty cash, bank accounts, and cash flow under supervision.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry. Solid understanding of bookkeeping, VAT regulations in the UAE, and audit processes. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho Books, or similar). Strong Excel and analytical skills. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple entities/outlets.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience working with restaurant groups or hospitality businesses. Familiarity with inventory and POS reconciliation is a plus.
