Our client, a prominent firm in the Shipping Industry based in Dubai, seeks a Junior Accountant to handle Cash IOU-related accounting tasks, direct cash expenses, and simple billing duties according to established patterns and terms. The candidate will collaborate with Customs Clearance and Transport Operation teams to validate cash receipts, maintenance expenses, and ensure daily IOU balance confirmation. Emphasis is placed on timely billing and error-free completion of tasks.

Location: -Dubai

Experience: - Minimum 2-3 years experience as Junior Accountant (Cashier) in Logistics, shipping & transport industry in Dubai - UAE.

Special requirement:-Experience with FRESA Software is must.

Job Specific Training: Analytical, Auditing, Cash IOU settlement, MS Office & FRESA (ERP) system

Key Responsibilities:

Cash IOU Management:

• Ensure meticulous approval for IOU issuance.
• Promptly disburse Cash IOUs to runners.

Cash Receipts and Posting:

• Verify cash receipts and deposit slips.
• Confirm accurate settlement in Fresa with Job numbers and vendors.

Reconciliation and Reporting:

• Update IOU settlements accurately.
• Reconcile Cash IOU balances daily in FRESA.
• Provide daily reports to the Financial Controller by 6 pm.

Coordination Tasks:

• Coordinate with Customs Clearance & Transport for pending Purchase Invoices.
• Liaise with maintenance or vendors for monthly invoices in FRESA.
• Collaborate with VAT Team for CASH DP World Stamping cost validation.

Payment Control:

• Ensure control over cash payments for Late BL, Telex, Demurrage, Fines & irregular payments.
• Cross-check costs against sales (Dr / Cr) for accuracy.

Billing Responsibilities:

• Timely billing to CLFL & E.D Customers as per terms.
• Coordinate with CLFL Team for reconciliation.
• Ensure accuracy in billing details.

General Tasks:

• Use correct accounts, vendors, jobs, and amounts.
• Be prepared for additional operational tasks assigned by the Financial Controller.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Graduate in Accounts / Finance / Partially qualified in Accounts & Finance professional education.

Skills:

• Forensic accounting skills, problem solving, critical & analytical skills, CASH IOU process, reconciliation skills, proactive & coordination skills.
• Strong proficiency in English, Hindi, and Excel.
• Understanding of accounting principles and financial management.
• Ability to adapt to and utilize technology, including camera monitoring systems.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
