Junior Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for performing general bookkeeping tasks, such as preparing financial statements, calculating depreciation, and creating and maintaining accounts. This position requires a strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and related financial concepts and practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, records, and documents accurately
  • Calculate, record, and deposit payments for services rendered
  • Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Prepare journal entries for recurring and non-recurring transactions
  • Assist with tax preparation
  • Respond to inquires from customers and clients
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Ability to work independently and follow through with tasks
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Well-organized with strong time management skills
