SME Electromechanical is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented

Junior Accountant

to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be a

native Burmese speaker

with a strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles and proven hands-on experience using

accounting software

. This role is critical for managing our day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accuracy in our reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily accounting tasks, including processing accounts payable and accounts receivable. Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations regularly using

an accounting software

. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Process employee expense claims and ensure compliance with company policies. Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation. Support senior accounting staff with month-end and year-end closing procedures. Handle communication and documentation related to specific vendors/stakeholders where Burmese language proficiency is required.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Fluency in Burmese (speaking, reading, and writing) is mandatory.

Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience using accounting software is essential.

Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical accuracy. Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
