to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining daily financial records, supporting payroll and reconciliation tasks, and preparing accurate reports and statements to support our retail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Financial Recording:
Accurately record daily sales, purchases, and expenses using accounting software.
Cash & POS Reconciliation:
Reconcile daily cash collections and point-of-sale transactions against records.
Inventory & Stock Monitoring:
Assist with inventory audits and stock valuation to ensure accurate financial tracking.
Payroll Support:
Support payroll processes, ensuring staff payments are processed accurately and on time.
Reporting:
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management review.
Bank Transactions:
Handle bank reconciliations, deposits, and monitor account balances regularly.
Vendor & Supplier Payments:
Maintain records of payables and receivables, process supplier invoices and payments on time.
Financial Statement Assistance:
Assist in preparing balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial documents.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the
retail or shop environment
.
Software Proficiency:
Proficient in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.
Technical Skills:
Strong Excel skills for report generation and data analysis.
Accuracy & Attention to Detail:
High level of accuracy in handling transactions and financial data.
Time Management:
Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Communication Skills:
Strong communication skills to coordinate with store managers, suppliers, and internal departments.
Tax Knowledge:
Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations and other relevant tax laws.
Additional Requirement:
The candidate must be willing to relocate to any of our Star Gallery Mart branches, including Al-Ayn, Sharjah, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi, as required.
