Jr. Sous Chef (Continental)
Job Summary:
The Jr. Sous Chef assists the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in managing the kitchen operations, with a specific focus on Continental cuisine. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food quality, and maintaining kitchen standards.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning menus and developing recipes for the Continental section.
  • Supervise and train cooks and demi chefs de partie in the section.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies for the section.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Enforce strict hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP).
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Culinary school degree or equivalent certification.
  • Significant experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or similar role, with a specialization in Continental cuisine.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Creativity and a passion for culinary arts.
