Job Description
Selfdrive is looking for a Jr. Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits. This Android app developer will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications. Android programming works closely with other app development and technical teams.
- Support the entire application lifecycle. (Design, test, release and support)
- Proven work experience as a cross-platform Mobile Developer.
- Produce fully functional mobile applications writing clean, readable, and testable code.
- Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance.
- Design interfaces to improve user experience
- Ensure new and legacy applications meet quality standards
- Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the Apple App store and/or the Google Play store.
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
- Familiarity with OOP design principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude.
- Ability to perform in a team environment.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal withdifferent screen sizes.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
- Expert in OOPs, REST APIs, JSON, Data-Binding, Local Storage.
- Hands-On Experience on GPS, Notifications, Maps, Geo-Fencing, Image Processing,OCR.
- Understanding of Material design principles & interface guidelines and knowledge ofAPP Publish process on Play Store.
- Extensive knowledge of mobile app development. This includes the whole process,from the first line of code to publishing in the store.
- Work as part of an Agile Scrum team
- Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
- Understanding of Google\xe2\x80\x99s Android design principles and interface guidelines.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Familiarity with continuous integration.
- Strong knowledge of Kotlin and converting existing Java code into Kotlin.
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
