Role Summary/Purpose This is a senior leadership role responsible for two large Operations & Maintenance contracts and Joint Ventures in Kuwait and Algeria. One site is a leading water reclamation facility, and the other is a significantly large seawater drinking water plant. Both sites operate using advanced membrane-based technology. This role would provide the successful candidate an opportunity to work across two exciting water treatment platforms as well as working in a dynamic global organization.
The role involves managing day to day operations at both sites and, additionally, corporate governance on other JV\xe2\x80\x99s globally.
A successful candidate would directly manage the two site leaders (based in Algeria & Kuwait) and would need to own, drive, and implement processes that ensure maximum production, optimal financial returns to the company and a priority on world class Health & Safety (EH&S).
The role would report directly to the Global Services business leader.

Essential Responsibilities As the JV Business Leader, you will:
- Foster and drive a professional EH&S and compliance culture;
- Provide site management leadership guidance for day to day operations for our JV\xe2\x80\x99s to ensure financial, contractual, and service fulfillment;
- Sit as board member on various VWTS JV when required. Manage corporate governance and ensure good shareholder relations with counterparties;
- Be responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications;
- Contribute to the overall strategy and manage complex issues;
- Align operations closely with Global initiatives (new product initiatives, market shifts; training) and keep pace with industry standards and expectations;
- Identify revenue generating and variable cost productivity opportunities;
- Demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals and programs;
- Work cross functionally;
- Support/drive sales activities \xe2\x80\x93 upgrades, modifications, new contracts;
- Mentor and train staff (technical/commercial, leadership qualities, etc.);
- Work closely with other disciplines including Engineering & Sourcing;
- Participate and contribute in the Global Service organization.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of operational water treatment experience, preferable as plant manager in a water related plant leading a larger team;
- 5 plus years of leadership experience in a matrix environment;
- Fluent English, French and Arabic are a plus;
- Ability to travel when needed.

- Experience in working in JV\xe2\x80\x99s and in the governance of entities and in director positions;
- Ability and willingness to work in and lead cross-functional teams;
- Demonstrated Program / Project management skills;
- Computer proficient with ability to learn other software applications;
- Ability to prioritize, organize work, and meet deadlines;
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals;
- Ability to define defects, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions;
- Ability to take abstract and concrete variables and develop the most simplistic directions for personnel;
- Customer focus, clear thinker, and detail-oriented;
- Strong service-related background;
- Experience with water treatment equipment.
