Job Summary

Motif Interior Decoration LLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Joinery Manager to oversee all aspects of joinery production and installation. The ideal candidate will lead the joinery team, manage project timelines, ensure quality control, and coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to deliver high-quality woodwork and fit-out solutions aligned with client expectations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Resource Management:

Plan and forecast joinery production based on upcoming project schedules. Manage manpower planning, shift scheduling, and task allocation to optimize productivity. Ensure availability and timely procurement of materials, tools, and hardware for ongoing and upcoming projects.

Technical Supervision & Drawing Interpretation:

Review and approve technical/shop drawings, ensuring accuracy and clarity for workshop production and site execution. Provide technical support to the design and project teams during detailing, mock ups, and execution stages.

Team Leadership & Development:

Supervise carpenters, joiners, machine operators, and polishers in the joinery division. Conduct skills assessments and recommend training or upskilling initiatives for team members. Foster a positive, safety-conscious, and quality-driven work culture.

Production Oversight:

Monitor daily workshop operations and ensure efficient flow from cutting and assembling to finishing and packaging. Oversee the operation and maintenance of CNC machines, edge banders, panel saws, and other woodworking machinery. Ensure proper labeling, storage, and tracking of all production components.

Quality Assurance & Control:

Implement and enforce rigorous QC protocols across all production stages. Conduct regular inspections and supervise polishing/finishing to meet high-end interior standards. Minimize rework and material wastage through proactive supervision.

Coordination with Project & Site Teams

: Liaise with project managers, site engineers, and design teams for installation schedules, delivery timelines, and sequencing.

Vendor & Subcontractor Liaison:

Coordinate with external suppliers and subcontractors for materials, outsourced work (e.g., carving, laser cutting), and finish coatings. Evaluate new vendors for cost-effectiveness, quality, and delivery timelines.

Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain production logs, material consumption records, and machine maintenance reports. Generate regular progress updates and present status reports to senior management. Ensure documentation of joinery processes, HSE compliance, and risk assessments. Innovation & Process Improvement: Suggest improvements in workflow, materials, or techniques to enhance productivity and quality. Stay updated on new joinery trends, machinery, and finishing methods suitable for luxury interiors.

Work Experience:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Wood Technology, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in joinery and interior fit-out, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Skills

Strong knowledge of joinery manufacturing, wood materials, hardware, finishes, and construction techniques. Proven ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings. Hands-on experience in managing custom-made furniture, cabinetry, doors, and wall paneling projects. Familiarity with AutoCAD, woodworking machinery, and CNC operations is a plus. Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills. Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Qualification.
