Job Description

Supervise and coordinate joinery works in the workshop and on-site. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for joinery and carpentry works. Allocate daily tasks to joinery carpenters and monitor execution. Ensure quality of workmanship in furniture, doors, wardrobes, cabinets, partitions, and other joinery items. Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow. Monitor material usage and ensure proper handling, minimizing wastage. Ensure adherence to project timelines and report progress to management. Conduct regular inspections of joinery works to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. Guide and train junior staff and workers on joinery techniques and safe work practices. Resolve technical issues on-site and provide solutions to challenges in joinery execution. Maintain tools, machinery, and equipment in good working condition. Enforce safety regulations and ensure workers use PPE at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications:

Diploma / ITI in Carpentry, Civil, or related field (preferred). Minimum 4-6 years of experience in joinery works, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory / foreman role. Strong knowledge of woodworking machinery, materials (MDF, plywood, veneer, laminate, solid wood), and finishes. Ability to read and interpret joinery shop drawings and technical details. Good leadership and team management skills. Knowledge of health & safety practices at workplace. Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
