We are looking for a highly motivated and technically proficient
Estimator
with experience in
Joinery and Woodworks Estimation
. The candidate will be responsible for preparing competitive bids, detailed BOQs, material take-offs, and cost analyses for various joinery projects including doors, wardrobes, wall claddings, furniture, and other bespoke woodwork items.
Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate cost estimates and commercial proposals by analyzing project drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
Review and interpret architectural and interior design drawings to prepare detailed joinery BOQs.
Identify labor, material, and time requirements for joinery works by studying drawings and related documents.
Manage all aspects of pre- and post-tender processes, including clarifications, submissions, and follow-ups.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for joinery materials, hardware, finishes, and accessories.
Maintain and update cost databases and supplier/subcontractor lists for joinery materials and services.
Verify and certify subcontractor quotations, progress claims, and variations.
Work closely with project managers, production teams, and procurement to ensure cost-effective project execution.
Monitor material costs and consumption to ensure alignment with project budgets and company targets.
Stay informed on market trends, new materials, and technologies related to the joinery and woodworking industry.
Prepare technical and commercial comparisons for management review.
Benchmark pricing to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
Consistently seek new suppliers and subcontractors to enhance company's vendor network.
Assist the Quantity Surveyor and Project Management team with cost control and progress reporting.
Requirements:
Minimum
3 years of UAE/GCC experience
in an Estimation role within a
Joinery / Woodworks / Fit-out
company.
Degree or Diploma
in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Strong knowledge of
joinery materials, production processes, and finishes.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting detailed joinery shop drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with
estimation software
such as
PlanSwift
or equivalent tools.
Knowledge of
FIDIC
contracts is an advantage.
Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
Basic understanding of MEP interfaces related to joinery installations.
Established network of
Joinery Suppliers & Subcontractors
in the UAE and GCC markets.
Excellent command of English (spoken and written); proficiency in Hindi preferred.
Ability to work under pressure on multiple tenders simultaneously.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
