Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced

Joinery Draftsman

to produce accurate technical drawings and shop drawings for joinery, fit-out, and woodworking projects. The ideal candidate should have solid experience with joinery detailing, production drawings, and coordination with site teams and production workshops.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Drawings & Detailing

Prepare clear, accurate, and detailed joinery shop drawings, cutting lists, assembly details, and fabrication drawings. Convert concept drawings, sketches, and site measurements into technical drawings. Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, standards, and client requirements. Provide detailed section drawings, elevations, and 3D visualizations when required.

Project Coordination

Coordinate with project managers, designers, site engineers, and production teams. Review and verify dimensions, material specifications, and technical details before issuing drawings. Support production by providing clarifications and updates on drawings. Ensure timely submission of drawings and revisions according to project deadlines.

Quality & Compliance

Maintain drawing accuracy to support error-free production. Ensure drawings follow joinery manufacturing standards and industry codes. Conduct site visits to collect measurements when needed.

Documentation & Revision Control

Maintain updated drawing logs, revisions, and proper documentation. Update shop drawings based on client or consultant comments. File and archive drawings systematically for future reference.

Requirements

Education:

Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.

Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years of UAE experience in joinery, woodworking, or interior fit-out industry (mandatory). Strong understanding of joinery materials such as MDF, plywood, veneer, laminate, solid wood, hardware, etc.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory). Knowledge of SketchUp, 3D modeling, or other drafting tools (advantage). Ability to read and interpret architectural and ID drawings.

Other Skills:

Strong attention to detail Good communication and coordination skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Working Conditions

Full-time role 6-day working week (customizable) Site visits may be required depending on project needs
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
