Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of draftsmen, ensuring technical accuracy, quality, and adherence to standards
Prepare precise and detailed
shop drawings for custom joinery items
such as wardrobes, doors, wall cladding, counters, and cabinets
Review and approve drawings prepared by junior draftsmen, ensuring compliance with project specifications
Translate
interior design concepts
into
fabrication-ready shop drawings
Coordinate with production and site teams to ensure alignment with project requirements and manufacturing capabilities
Conduct
site visits
when necessary to verify measurements and assess installation feasibility
Plan and manage drawing schedules to meet project timelines
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in
Architecture, Drafting, Interior Design
, or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years of experience
in joinery or woodworking, including
at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role
Proficient in
AutoCAD
; knowledge of
SolidWorks, SketchUp
, or other 3D software is an advantage
In-depth understanding of
joinery construction methods, materials, hardware, and finishes
Proven track record in
managing a drafting team
and producing high-quality technical drawings
Strong ability to
read and interpret architectural and interior design documents
