We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Joinery Draftsman to join our team in the UAE. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, creating cutting lists, and coordinating with production and design teams to ensure the accurate execution of joinery projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drafting:
Prepare detailed technical drawings and shop drawings for joinery items such as furniture, cabinetry, doors, panels, and fit-outs.
2. Cutting List Preparation:
Create accurate cutting lists based on approved drawings.
Optimize material usage to minimize waste and ensure cost-efficiency.
Coordinate with the production team to verify the feasibility of cutting lists and designs.
3. Coordination and Communication:
Work closely with project managers, designers, and production teams to understand project requirements.
Attend project meetings to discuss design details and ensure alignment with project timelines.
Communicate any technical issues or design changes to relevant stakeholders.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
Provide regular updates to the project team on design progress.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum 1-3years of experience as a Joinery Draftsman in the UAE or a similar role.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Strong understanding of joinery materials, construction techniques, and production processes.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
