Job Summary:

The Joinery Draftsman is responsible for producing accurate and detailed shop drawings for all joinery and fit-out elements based on architectural and interior design specifications. The role supports the design and production teams by ensuring drawings are practical, buildable, and aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed joinery and furniture shop drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting software. Interpret architectural and interior design plans and convert them into production-ready technical drawings. Coordinate with design, production, and site teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance with project timelines. Revise and update drawings based on client, consultant, or project manager feedback. Ensure drawings reflect correct dimensions, materials, joinery techniques, hardware, and finishes. Maintain organized drawing archives for each project. Perform site visits for measurement verification when required. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety codes, and company procedures.

Requirements:

Diploma or degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Joinery Draftsman in a woodworking, furniture, or interior fit-out company. Proficient in AutoCAD (2D/3D); knowledge of SketchUp or Revit is a plus. Strong knowledge of joinery materials (MDF, plywood, veneer, laminate, hardwood, etc.) and accessories. Excellent understanding of construction details and joinery techniques. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, sections, elevations, and MEP layouts. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality. Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with CNC cutting files preparation is a plus. Knowledge of ERP or drawing management systems. Previous experience in GCC or UAE market.
