Jet Engine Maintenance Technician-Hawk Grade: 8 Location: Dhahran, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. The purpose of this job for carrying out overhaul, modification embodiment unscheduled maintenance and TCTOs on Adour Engines IAW the Propulsion Unit Servicing Manual. May be required to work outside normal trade boundary. Such working is subject to the requirements of the KFAB Quality System. You also may be required to provide support to the RSAF Hawk Operations away from the shop. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES Engine Maintenance Carries out strip, clean, examination and rebuild of the Adour Engine as detailed in the relevant servicing manuals. Carry out Modification TCTO and unscheduled maintenance as directed by CAMO/ Part M support Personnel. This work includes but is not limited to: disassembly, cleaning, inspection, rectification, reassembly and assist in engine testing. Is responsible for the quality and completeness of the work carried out, or signs for as having been carried out, on an Adour Engine and components. Provides estimated hours for unscheduled maintenance. Always works within the requirements of the approved data, KFAB Quality System and RSAF Technical Orders. Completes the inputs of the local forms/documentations including relevant RSAF forms and documentations. Ensures maximum effort is made to safeguard the programme timescales in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner. Provides on-the-job and theory training. Deputises, if required, for the supervisor. Highlight any problems / non-compliance to the line manager Training and Certification Ensures his authorisations are current for the task in hand. Highlight to his immediate supervisor or the Training Co-ordinator areas of their or others inexperience or training requirements needed to complete his or their daily tasks. Quality Assurance and Control Complies with the requirements of the KFAB Quality System and RSAF Technical Orders and publications. Health and Safety Ensures Health and Safety / Duty of Care policies contained in the Health & Safety Policy manual are fully understood and adhered to. RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION Essential Completion of a recognised Jet Engine engineering trade apprenticeship Experience in Jet engine strip and build Qualified to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level Engine Maintenance or equivalent Extensive proven experience in jet engine maintenance activities on military or civil aircraft or extensive experience on same engine type as this role Current UK/Saudi Driving Licence. Desirable Experience of overhauling Adour MK861 engine Experience with operating BAEMMA.
