Senior Backend Engineer? Experienced in Cloud based solutions? Read on. You will work closely with a team of fellow experts building a fintech mobile solution and work on the back-end services to support both app functions and a SaaS backend. You will be part of a fast-paced agile environment with loads of autonomy, get your hands on architecting an awesome solution with teammates and with a voice in shaping the future direction. You'll be working on A stealth fintech app we're creating at Souqalmal offering money management and financial wellness. We were recently acquired and are pivoting to grow further through innovation.
*Responsibilities:

• Write clean and testable Java API backend using best practices

• Develop and run unit and integration tests on API and backend code

• Participate in code reviews and provide assistance to frontend team

• Write event streaming data processing pipelines

• Ensure data privacy and system security compliance

Requirements:

• 4+ years experience in developing server-side API code in Java on multiple projects

• 4+ years experience developing distributed backend systems

• Knowledge of Stream processing (Eventbridge/Kafka/Kinesis), serverless (AWS Lambda), microservices architecture

• Proficient with one of the SQL or NoSQL databases

Bonus points

• Serverless cloud or Function as a Service development

• Experience using frameworks such Spring, Micronaut, Quarkus

• Knowledge of Stream processing (Eventbridge/Kafka/Kinesis), serverless (AWS Lambda), microservices architecture
