In a fast-paced organisation, the Java Developer will be responsible for development and delivery of production-ready code. The Java Developer is expected to be a driving force in setting the pace and commitment level for the team and to contribute suggestions for, and to actively support, Sky News Arabia\'s development practices. Key Skills, Experience and Education:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Minimum 4+ years of experience in Java web applications development.
Practical experience working in Agile / SCRUM environment.
Expertise knowledge of Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
Expertise knowledge of JSP and Servlets.
Expertise knowledge of ORM Frameworks (Hibernate, Mybatis).
Expertise working with RDBMS (i.e. Postgres, MySQL, MariaDB).
Proficient experience in development of Web Services and REST API.
Good knowledge of microservices and SOA architecture.
Good knowledge of cloud services.
Experience using Maven and Gradle.
Experience using GIT as source control and knowledge of GitFlow and working with any of Bitbucket, Github or Gitlab.
Good understanding/knowledge of Tomcat, Apache, Nginx.
Fair understanding of Apache SOLR.
Knowledge of iOS development (Objective-C, Swift) or Android development is plus.
Experience in broadcast and streaming protocols is desirable.
Good written and spoken English; knowledge in Arabic will be a plus.
