ITS Project Manager (Traffic Management Center Operation)

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Traffic Management Center Project Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to lead the operations of one of the most sophisticated traffic management centers in the world.

The Traffic Management Center Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the operations of a state-of-the-art traffic management center (TMC) in one of the leading, fastest growing cities in the world.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that the TMC is running efficiently and effectively, and that the center\'s staff is well-trained and equipped to handle the demands of the facility.

What You\'ll Be Doing:

Lead the day-to-day operations of the TMC, including the management of a staff of over 50 people.

Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the TMC.

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including transportation agencies, city officials, and emergency response teams, to ensure that the TMC is able to provide the necessary support in times of crisis.

Develop and implement training programs for TMC staff to ensure that they are equipped to handle the demands of the facility.

Ensure that the TMC is in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.

Monitor the performance of the TMC and its staff, and take corrective action as needed.

Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents as needed to communicate the status and performance of the TMC.

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to stay informed of the latest traffic management trends and technologies.

Provide leadership and direction to the TMC staff to ensure the center is achieving its goals and objectives

Serve as the primary liaison between Client and Parsons\xe2\x80\x99 staff and will establish and implement procedures to effectively operate the TMC

The Project Manager shall be on-call 24 hours/day.

What Required Skills You\'ll Bring:

Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable university

Minimum 15 years experience in traffic and transportation engineering

Minimum 5 years experience managing traffic management center operations

Substantial experience managing one or more large operations contracts

Substantial experience in at least one of the following Contract related areas: systems engineering, systems integration, or software development, traffic/transportation engineering; Responsible for long-range strategic program planning activities;

Demonstrated success in keeping programs on schedule and within budget while meeting the performance goals of contracts managed, and in effectively managing multiple Team Members

Possess a thorough knowledge of ITS and Traffic Management principles and systems;

Demonstrated leadership and management experience, especially with staff in different geographic locations.

Strong project management skills, including experience with budgeting, scheduling and staff management

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

What Desired Skills You\'ll Bring:

Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Transportation and Traffic Operations Engineering

PE/PTOE registration, PMP certification or related project management certification
