: ITS Project Manager Abu Dhabi, UAE Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Project Manager to help deliver industry-leading transportation management solutions! In this role you will be part of a team that provides comprehensive solutions to the most complex transportation and traffic congestion use cases. From highways to toll roads to transit routes, we deliver adaptive systems for every need, optimizing any transportation network. What You\'ll Be Doing:
  • Act as the Company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during the program execution
  • Negotiate changes to the scope of work with the client and key subcontractors
  • Market and secures additional work with client
  • Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.
  • Oversee establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required
  • Establishes the program requirements for all areas of the project, and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria
  • Responsible for the development and distribution of a summary description of the project to all members of the project team for reference
  • Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project
  • Assigns responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths. Provides input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates
  • Field responsibilities may include labor relations, local procurement and payroll operations, etc., if required
  • Discusses the qualifications required of the key project positions in specific detail with the profit center and department managers
  • Collaborates with the office facilities staff to address project space requirements
  • Works with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project
  • Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans
  • Works with the key project individual to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work
  • Advises the client and company management of any such changes
  • The Project Manager is specifically responsible for maintaining current and timely change orders
  • Promotes technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes
  • Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule
What Required Skills You\'ll Bring:
  • BSc Degree Telecommunications/Computer/Electronics/ Electrical/Civil Engineering from a reputable university
  • Minimum 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in various Intelligent Transportation Systems business development, design and deployment projects
  • Capable of exploring and identifying technology solutions for ITS and Smart Mobility applications.
  • Previous experience of working on large citywide/statewide Advanced Traffic Management Systems
  • Experienced project manager who understands the need for and can create project management documentation including minutes of meetings, contract scopes and estimates, progress reports and invoices and white papers/reports on technical projects
  • The candidate must be trained in the use of Systems Engineering for ITS including development of Concepts of Operations, Requirements, Testing and Commissioning of ITS software
  • Ability to write complex systems engineering reports in English is a requirement and examples of ITS documents authored must be provided
  • Demonstrate strong communications and analytical skills and the ability to pay careful attention to details and must have the capacity to work well in groups and a willingness to understand the various roles played by construction supervision and contractor team members.
  • The candidate should be enthusiastic, innovative and capable of working outside of his immediate field of expertise.
  • Proficient with and Microsoft applications including Team and Word
  • The role may require limited travel throughout the GCC.
